Every once in awhile we come across a band that is doing something unique with our instruments, something that really stands out. This is one of those times. The Omnific, a progressive experimental band from Melbourne, Australia, are unique not just because of their sound, but how they get it. The band consists of a drummer, and two bass players who both rock 5-string Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo basses. That’s it. You read that right. Bassists Matthew Fackrell and Toby Peterson-Stewart join drummer Jerome Lematua to create a rhythm section that has a sound all its own.
