Astonishing speed. Astonishing performance. Introducing the all-new JP16.

The JP16 has a combination of features from the original Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci signature model and later Ball Family Reserve models. Highlights include a lightweight basswood body with high gloss Black Lava finish and a new Floyd Rose 1000 Pro Floating Tremolo system.

John says, “Whenever we offer a new version of the guitar, we want to keep the features of the guitar that are tried and true. But at the same time, we want to offer something that’s new and exciting.”

The JP16 also features the return of the original scooped forearm contour which will provide many hours of playing comfort. First fret JP16 logo, stainless steel frets and a smokey ebony fretboard are standard options on the ultra thin and fast figured/roasted maple neck. A pair of DiMarzio Sonic Ecstasy humbuckers and 20+ dB gain boost push/push volume pot provide the JP16 with plenty of sizzling tone.

The JP16 is a powerhouse guitar and a worthy addition to our extremely popular and long-running John Petrucci series. John agrees: “This awesome collaboration between myself, Sterling and the Ernie Ball Music Man engineers is is what keeps us moving forward, pushing the envelope of new possibilities and it’s one of the things I value most about our long standing relationship.”

“This guitar is truly amazing on all levels.”
