Alternative rock band Beware Of Darkness are back on the map for the first time since 2016. The past few years have been difficult for the band and frontman Kyle Nicolaides, with personal issues affecting his creativity. Despite 2019’s hardships, the new Beware of Darkness projects are a brand new start for Nicolaides — a blank canvas.

“I think after touring, the songs became a little bit more cohesive and I think now for the first time I’m able to look at them objectively and ask questions. The new material is the first time since I’m healthy that I’m able to ask, ‘What do I really want this to be?’ without regard to success or radio.”

Kyle Nicolaides, Highway 81 Revisited

It is only apt that the latest playthroughs he has shared on social media are entitled “Moon” and “Sun.” The two tracks provide a beautiful dichotomy between Nicolaides’ guitar playing; the delicate tact on “Moon” cannot exist without the fiery, red-hot shining of “Sun.”

These two tracks, alongside the other 2019 Beware Of Darkness singles, are a good sign that Nicolaides is back to the music, ready to create again. If you want to keep up with the latest in Beware Of Darkness news, be sure to check out their official website.

As Beware Of Darkness, Nicolaides uses the Ernie Ball Music Man Armada guitars. When it comes to strings, he goes for Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Slinkys.
