St. Vincent showcased several of her favorite songs that left a lasting impression on her musical upbringing in an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music. Some of the riffs include famous licks from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Jethro Tull, and Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain. In the clip below, St. Vincent plays snippets of the songs and explains how they left a direct influence on her music.
